EIDETICA

Cyberpunk Science Fiction Series

Eidetica | Nicholas Gagnier

Eidetica

Eidetica Series Book One

In the distant future, the world is no longer habitable. Humanity is forced to live in a city of towering Spires where the air is artificially-produced, food is grown in greenhouses, and companies compete to blanket a dreary existence with projections of neon lights and mockeries of Old World cities we once lived. Cybernetic implants further mask depreciating quality-of-life with digital interfaces and distractions to combat lives of crime and loss of purpose.

When a series of disappearances throughout the city is linked to a prevalent line of implants called Eloise IV, forensic psychologist Kat Holinger is brought onboard to find the connection. Using a mysterious device called Eidetica to burrow into the archived memories of each implant’s abducted user, Kat and its creator Quentin Rhodes are launched into peculiarities of the human mind.

Forced to reckon with revelations neither are prepared to face, the duo soon realize that playing God not only comes with devastating personal consequences—it could determine the ultimate fate of a city just struggling to survive each nightfall in a single piece.

From the author of The Book of Death series comes a science-fiction epic set in the age of Earth’s great reckoning, combining a post-apocalyptic world with surreal landscapes of the human consciousness. Get your copy today!

Rebellion

Eidetica Series Book Two

The circle must close.

Kat Holinger is a woman out of time. After discovering the idiosyncratic Spire City in which she’s lived her entire post-apocalyptic adult life is nothing more than an elaborate computer simulation designed to keep her re-living the same sorry chain of events, a short-lived act of defiance on the esteemed criminal profiler’s part quickly leads to fatally divergent outcomes in the program.

As rumors that the outside world persist following a lifetime of propaganda asserting otherwise, Kat soon realizes her little rebellion has not only endangered any recognition in the eyes of her friends, family, and colleagues, but that their fates are also inextricably tied to the simulation’s ultimate survival.

Caught between a shrinking window to escape the collapsing Eidetica and her futile attempts to save the people she loves, Kat’s only panacea may rest between the simulation’s enigmatic machine overlords who have manipulated her all along, a ghost from her recent past, and a sleeping giant hidden amidst Spire City’s pre-rendered population.
